David G. Bayles in an associate with the firm. His practice focuses on intellectual property, especially trademarks, including prosecution, enforcement and litigation. Mr. Bayles manages the domestic and international trademark portfolios of several scientific and technology clients. He also handles other civil litigation matters with an emphasis on cartage claims.

Mr. Bayles served as a judicial clerk to Judges Donald Eyre and Steven Hansen of the Fourth District Court for the State of Utah, and later, as Deputy County Counsel for Summit County, State of Utah. Mr. Bayles’ duties for Summit County included advising the Board of County Commissioners and the Snyderville Planning Commission—bodies governing land use development near Park City and Deer Valley ski resorts.

While an undergraduate, Mr. Bayles started two years on the varsity baseball team. Mr. Bayles played first base, participated in the College World Series, and was named an Academic All-American by G.T.E. Corporation.

Mr. Bayles was recently named a Rising Star by Los Angeles magazine and Southern California Super Lawyers magazine for 2005.
