O'Brien Abeles, its attorneys and employees are committed to the communities in which they live and practice. In addition to the financial support the firm and its partners provide to several charitable and non-profit organizations, O'Brien Abeles encourages its attorneys and employees to volunteer and serve on the boards of civic, charitable and professional organizations.

As part of their pro bono commitment, firm attorneys have recently represented in corporate and intellectual property matters, the Truce Foundation of the USA, which promotes the Olympic Truce mission, served as local counsel for the National Crime Victims Law Institute, which files amicus briefs on behalf of crime victims, and assisted a Los Angeles religious congregation with its application to the Department of Homeland Security for funds to better secure its facilities against crime and terrorist attacks.
