COMMITMENT TO THE COMMUNITY
and
PRO BONO WORK
O'Brien
Abeles, its attorneys and employees are committed to the communities
in which they live and practice. In addition to the financial
support the firm and its partners provide to several charitable
and non-profit organizations, O'Brien Abeles encourages its attorneys
and employees to volunteer and serve on the boards of civic, charitable
and professional organizations.
As part of their pro bono commitment, firm attorneys have recently
represented in corporate and intellectual property matters, the
Truce Foundation of the USA, which promotes the Olympic Truce
mission, served as local counsel for the National Crime Victims
Law Institute, which files amicus briefs on behalf of crime victims,
and assisted a Los Angeles religious congregation with its application
to the Department of Homeland Security for funds to better secure
its facilities against crime and terrorist attacks.
